Lea Caruso

Activity Director

Lea graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy. She continued her education by becoming a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Lea has worked in senior living for just over 3 years and enjoys fulfilling the lives of our seniors! Her passion for the industry came through her own personal experiences of dealing with dementia in her own family. She loves planning meaningful & purposeful activities for our assisted living & memory care residents each month. When she’s not at work, you can find Lea spending time with her boyfriend, family, friends, and new puppy, Rocky! In her free time, she likes to do crafts, workout & travel to Northern Michigan to spend her summers in Charlevoix. Growing up in Rochester, it is only fitting that she is part of our Rochester family now!

During her college years, she worked as a caregiver for an assisted living and realized it was her calling; to help our senior population. Jazmine has now worked with seniors for over 8 years.

She has dedicated her career to senior care and bettering long term senior living. Prior to joining the Pomeroy team, she worked as a care coordinator and managed both assisted living and memory care. She loves making a difference in the lives of seniors and providing them quality service. She takes pride in making valuable connections with not only her residents but their families as well. She strongly believes that the way you make someone feel can leave a lifelong impression.

She had 12 years’ experience had another senior living facility and decided to apply for a supervisor position due to her vast experience in housekeeping. Angela loves her job simply because she loves the residents. She loves hearing their life stories and builds relationships with them through those stories. Since she’s a Virgo, she wears her heart on her sleeve and is a compassionate person. In her free time, she likes to go to the beach, walk her dog and spend time with her grandkids. Angela says, “I love my job and I feel lucky to come to work every day!”

Bryant Wood

Maintenance Director

Growing up, Bryant spent his summers on the construction site, learning all his skills from his father, who is a very successful carpenter and tradesman. After graduating from Powers Catholic High School in Flint, Michigan, he spent 4 years working various jobs and determining where he wanted to go with his career. Ultimately, Bryant decided that construction was the path for him. Later, while working as an apprentice and site manager, he felt unfulfilled and realized that helping people was his true passion. He chose senior living as the best way to continue with his passion for skilled trades, as well as his desire to help people.

Above all else, Bryant has always been known as a family-oriented person which directly relates to his dedication to our residents at Pomeroy Living Orion. He prides himself on his efficiency and reliability both at work and home. In his free time, he is an avid football fan, and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
